About Astwood Bank

Astwood Bank is a rural village that is part of the District of Redditch in Worcestershire. The name is said to derive from Old English for ‘east wood’- name of the nearby woods in the parish of Feckenham. It’s a highly desirable place to live and housing prices reflect this.

With a population under 3,000 the village has great community spirit and fun loving attitude which manifests itself each year with a carnival which dates back to the 1900’s. The purpose of the carnival is to bring the community together, have fun and raise money for charity – a truly wonderful event.
